US Weapons Inspections In The UK

"Hundreds of thousands of
people have taken to the streets of London to voice their
opposition to military action against Iraq. Police said it was
the UK's biggest ever demonstration with at least 750,000 taking
part, although organisers put the figure closer to two
million."

"I am absolutely confident, in
the right conditions, we would be willing to use our nuclear

Below is a copy of the front side of a leaflet given out today (15 Feb) at the record breaking anti-war rally in London. The leaflet advertises a protest at US Air Force base Fairford, Gloucestershire, England, on Sunday 23 February (i.e. next weekend). The protest will take the form of a 'weapons inspection'.
If a war with Iraq goes ahead it is expected that US B-2 stealth bombers (along with B1 and B52 bombers) will be deployed from this base. USAF Fairford is one of only three forward bases outside the USA for B-2 bombers.
Bombers flying from Fairford dropped 48% of all the bombs used during the Kosovo war and since then the base has had an extensive £100 million refurbishment. This is the largest single NATO expenditure since the end of the Cold War.
B-2s are capable of delivering B-61 and B-83 mini-nuclear weapons. These are the first of the new generation of 'more usable' nuclear bombs being developed in the USA. Both Britain and the US have expressed a willingness to use nuclear weapons in a war with Iraq 'in the right conditions'.
You can find out more about USAF Fairford and the protest at http://www.gwi.org.uk where photographs of the "Gloucestershire Weapons Inspectors' " mock B-2 bomber (which featured in today's march in London) can be seen.
More information on B-2s and their use for the delivery of
weapons of mass destruction is available at:
http://www.fas.org/nuke/guide/usa/bomber/b-2.htm
Meanwhile maybe there is a US military base or two in your country where a 'weapons inspection' would be useful.

RALLY IN PEARL HARBOR DEMANDING A WEAPONS INSPECTION
AT CINCPAC US FLEET HEADQUARTERS
"The
week before the 911 attacks the
London Times reported that 'The Pentagon has secretly
built a germ factory capable of producing enough deadly bacteria
to kill millions of people. The project is one of a number of
covert biological initiatives pursued by the United States over
recent years. One
proposal awaiting final approval is to manufacture a more potent
version of anthrax using genetically engineered
biological agents...'. CBS [has since] confirmed that the US defence establishment has not passed a government audit in a
decade. These
revelations indicate that when it comes to the deployment of
weapons of mass destruction the US is considerably less
accountable to the international community and its own people
than Saddam Hussein. "
